2023 Breeding Plan
*Buck kids may be made available from does that do not have a a buck price on the chart but reservations will not be taken for them.

Reservations / Deposits
Prices are subject to change and are negotiable, but pre-ordered kids with a deposit will not increase. Prices quoted are for pre-ordered kids picked up by 5 weeks of age. All prices are quoted as on farm pick up, delivery is available with additional fees. We do reserve breeder’s rights to first choice of all kids and reserve the right to retain any kids to maintain our breeding program. A $100 deposit will hold a kid, with the balance due within 4 weeks of notification of birth. If your choice of kid is not available, we will gladly transfer it to another kid of your choosing, however there are no refunds on canceled orders. Any animal not picked up by the time they are 5 weeks of age will be subject to a boarding fee per day unless other arrangements have been made.
Second choice reservations are honored after first choice reservations. If neither a first nor second choice is born, we try to find an alternative of comparable genetics or move the reservation to the next year. Reservations moved to future years are subject to price increases. Deposits are only refundable if an acceptable kid is not born within two years, but not refundable if the order is simply canceled or the buyer refuses to consider other kids that we consider of comparable quality or breeding. Lack of moonspots, blue eyes, or preferred colors/patterns is not a reason a refund will be granted. Only place a deposit on a kid if color, pattern, and eye color are secondary to conformation and milk production. A better option for those preferring to select based on what they look like, we invite you to select from any kids without reservations on them after they are born.
Picking-Up and Shipping
Kids must be picked up or arrangements made within 4 weeks of age; boarding fees of up to $20/week/kid may apply after this time. For mature animals, we reserve the right to apply a $50 boarding fee if transport can’t be arranged within three weeks, additional boarding fees can be applied after that. All shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer, along with the cost of any testing (& related veterinary expenses) required for interstate travel. Animals and all additional costs must be paid in full before shipping or transport.
Registration Papers
Completed ADGA or MDGA registration is provided when all purchases are paid in full. We do not charge less for an intact animal because it comes without papers. Wethers do not come with registration paperwork, only a bill of sale.
Health Conditions
We do not knowingly sell animals with health or reproductive problems. Our herd is CAE, CL, and Johne's tested and negative. We follow a CAE prevention plan with testing and pasteurization, and are CL abscess free. We only purchase livestock from farms/ranches that have similar practices and test negative as well.
All kids are disbudded (or polled), and current on vaccines, worming, and hoof trimming. Carpenter Creek practices a coccidiosis prevention program for all kids born and raised on the property.
In the rare event something happens, we want to know and we will do what we can to make it right. However, an animal will only be replaced with a report from a veterinarian that finds the cause of illness or death to be congenital. In the event of a replacement, all transportation costs, health papers, and testing will be the responsibility of the buyer. Lastly, please contact us when a problem first begins to arise so we can more proactively help you address it– we want the best for all animals and we want you to be happy with your purchase.
Finally, our animals are highly socialized as babies and on through adulthood; they travel well. We do our best to disclose any known health issues prior to an animal being sold and value our reputation for providing healthy, well rounded animals.
