About Us
Owned by Tom and Natalie Epler and their 3 daughters, Carpenter Creek Ranch is a cozy creekside miniature goat dairy and cattle ranch located in Northwest Oregon. We own and operate the ranch and micro-dairy with a passion for animal husbandry, sustainability, and homesteading. We are both originally from Forest Grove. Tom grew up on this ranch and we are the third generation of our family to homestead here. We focus our energy on ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of all of our animals. In between farm chores Tom farms full-time and Natalie operates a licensed certified childcare with summer farm camp out of our farmhouse. Both Tom and Natalie have raised livestock for meat since childhood, but recently the desire to branch out of raising only for personal use and start providing meat for customers.
Our cuddle sessions have become a community tradition, drawing attention from other regions of Northwest Oregon. We offer both baby goat cuddles and mini cow cuddles, branching out to offering baby goat cuddles at local business events as well. Natalie's passion for crafting and homesteading and Tom's passion for using the whole animal has led to the creation of our own recipe for soap made with our own lard and tallow, and goat's milk of course. Watch our social media pages and website for exciting new things to come. |
Carpenter Creek has had multiple names and identities in past decades. The one thing the ranch has always had was a passionate farming family with a dream and desire to work hard to make it prosperous. We purchased it in 2010. From 1991-2017 it was the home to the L-Bar-T Bison Ranch, and before that it was a replacement dairy heifer farm. We have had poultry since 2010 and goats since 2014. Now it is also home to our livestock of choice, mini cows and goats.
We have since worked on making portions of the farm our own. We have a small field of cane berries and grapes, a patch of asparagus and apple trees. We started our herd of our miniature dairy goats in 2014 and miniature zebu in 2016. We have a menagerie of poultry for family eggs and meat. In January of 2018 we decided to rebrand ourselves as Carpenter Creek Ranch to reflect the history of our homestead.
At Carpenter Creek Ranch you will always be welcomed with warmth. We invite you to meet and get to know everyone on the farm. Thank you for supporting our farm and mission!!!
