Miniature Cows For Sale
All our calves stay with their mothers until Fall, we spend an additional month after weaning for socializing with them prior to them heading to their new homes. We ask for a 50% non-refundable/non-transferable deposit, balance is due one week prior to pickup, all calves will have a licensed Veterinarian Health Inspection and Travel Certification along with any required shots to travel across state lines within 30days of travel. We measure to the top of the back above the hook and do our best to estimate mature size based on past calves and parents mature size, but we can’t guarantee mature size. Transportation of your calf is the buyers responsibility but we are happy to provide a list of haulers we have worked with in the past.

*Bulldog dwarfism is a lethal genetic defect of Dexter cattle. Affected fetuses have severe disproportionate dwarfism, a short vertebral column, a large head, and are naturally aborted around seven months of gestation. The two known mutations are specific to Dexter cattle and may be present in Dexter crossbreds. (https://vgl.ucdavis.edu/test/dexter-bulldog-dwarfism). Having a Chondrodysplasia gene do not guarantee an animal will be short, or stay short. Chondro positive females only have one of the gene and may not produce C+ calves. This can be a significant risk in pregnancy. Mini Highland cows are NOT the size of dogs.
We know the Chondrodysplasia status of all of our breeding stock and can share the genetic testing upon request. We test all of our breeding stock even if we know they do not have dexters in their ancestry.
